Dozer on the back of Rear-Dumper

This one falls squarely in the 'what were they thinking' category. It looks like they've tried to use a rear-dumper to carry around a dozer, with predictable results.

This happened at HI Yandi iron ore mine in the Pilbara. The D10 dozer (HW unit) had been at the HI Yandi mine and was to be delivered back to the Henry Walker operated BHP Yandi mine by truck.
The driver of the truck being inexperienced in the practice 'gunned' the truck on the second attempt to exit the 'pit-ramp' and ended pointing skyward as the picture shows. The dozer driver was in the 2nd person's seat in the truck.

This isn't an uncommon method of transportaion of equipment. It is done all the time in the area were I work in West Virginia, it saves alot on the equipment under carriage

We have been moving dozers here in West Africa on the back of dumpers, I would normally back the dozer in backwards into the dumper, I feel it moves the load more to the front of the dumper, Is this the right procedure or should I turn it around. Any comments please……..?
