South Walker Creek Bench Failure

This was sent it by a reader, of a bench failure which occurred on the 29th. Looks fairly lucky. The boom looks like it got pretty close to the spoil.

It was DRE 28 at Riverside. Still is. DRE 2 was at Blackwater Mine.

DRE's 27, 28 and 29 at Goonyella Riverside were originally DRE's 1, 2 and 3 at Riverside before BHP bought out Utah or CQCA and Riverside became Goonyella Riverside about 1989. Thats when Riversides Dre 1,2 and 3 became 27,28 and 29. Guess it was easier to change three numbers than 26. They also had T,D and M on the sides which was for Thiess Dampier Mitsuie. Those letters stayed on the sides after the change
